    Christine LeBlanc-Payne

    artist / illustrator / designer

I am deeply passionate about all things art and design related! Creative, reliable, attentive to detail, deadline driven and most definitely versatile… I work as a strategic partner who translates marketing objectives into effective, compelling visual communications.

Areas in which I specialize and / or have a keen interest:

    • illustration (graphic + traditional)
    • design (print + web)
    • fine art
    • multi-media
  • I've worked in corporate design as a Senior Graphic Designer / Web Manager for nearly 13 years – the first 10 in the hospitality industry (print collateral, print products, digital media), and the last few in the medical industry (marketing materials and digital media of all sorts).

I continue to freelance a bit for small businesses and individuals as I enjoy a variety of projects, and like to be well-rounded…I am forever receptive to new opportunities.

Prior to that, I spent three years working in London 'cutting my teeth' as a graphic designer, and then moved into digital media: graphic illustration / Flash animation / web design.

I hold a BFA in Illustration from Paier College of Art, in Connecticut, graduating cum laude (with distinction).

My artwork has been displayed both here and abroad, and has won awards (paintings & drawings).

I utilize Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud products such as IIllustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and (seldom these days if at all) Flash. I also use frontend markup: HTML, CSS, javaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap (frontend framework), and formerly actionScript. – More recently I've been exploring server-side scripting with PHP and soon I will dive into MySQL (just for fun). I thoroughly enjoy the technical planning and mapping out (wireframing) of websites' UI and UX. ...Mobile phone apps as well! Graceful use of typography is also an area of interest.

A few of the brands I've worked with throughout the years:
Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, Luxury Collection, FourPoints, St. Regis, Le Meridien, Aloft, Element) • Hilton Corporate (Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria, DoubleTree, Embassy Suites, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Home2) • Marriott Hotel Brands (Marriott Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Courtyard Marriott) • IHG (InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn) • Hyatt • Kimpton Hotel Group • Thompson Hotel Group • Omni Hotels • Wyndham • Deloitte University • Cancer Treatment Center of America • Radisson • Harrahs • Trump Casino • Mt Snow • Stowe Mtn Lodge • Sun Valley Resort • Sofitel • New York Knicks • Brooklyn Nets • Minnesota Timberwolves • Mohegan Sun • USFI • AS Hospitality & various boutique properties • Nickelodeon • Viacom • PricewaterhouseCoopers • the BBC • the British Council • Britvic • Robinsons…

Christopher Payne

Violinist / Composer / Sound Designer

Christopher Payne is a multi-talented instrumentalist who offers original compositions, music scoring, effective string arrangements and sound design services.

Although primarily an acoustic / electric violinist, Chris embraces the technology available to modern musicians. He also plays a wide range of instruments such as mandolin, shakuhachi, Indian flute, theremin, voice, electric guitar, keyboards and more.

His specialty is a one-man string orchestra where violin, viola and cello are recorded and multi-tracked to sound identical to a huge ensemble. Through Chris's years as a performing musician he has mastered a number of different styles including classical, jazz, rock, an array of world music styles, and he is a fluent improvisor. Chris's style could be described as eclectic with sensitivity to situation and context and this approach is reflected in his compositions. Sound generally is also a big interest and Chris treats sound design as seriously as musical composition.

Chris holds a BA Hons degree in Music from the Dartington College of Arts, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Jazz & Studio Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, both in England. Chris works with commercial clients and performs regularly (private parties, corporate events, weddings, etc). He has also performed all around the UK, Europe, the middle and far east.
